About Sandesh Rathnayake

Sandesh Dileeshaka Rathnayake (born on September 2, 2004) is a Sri Lankan multi-creative artist with a growing career in music, visual arts, and digital media. Over the years, he has developed a diverse skill set as a Guitarist, Photographer, Cinematographer, Director, Editor, and Scriptwriter, blending artistic vision with technical craft.

Sandesh began his journey in music around 2019, dedicating himself to the guitar and steadily growing his artistry through continuous self-research and practice. With nearly six years of experience, he has built a strong foundation in performance and creative expression, aiming to evolve into a professional guitarist. Alongside music, he expanded into photography and cinematography, participating in various workshops and training programs to refine his technical skills and artistic vision. In 2025, he officially began studying Cinematography to further strengthen his expertise in filmmaking and visual storytelling. Since 2024, Sandesh has been shaping his creative identity through Rig Raag Studio, a personal venture focused on merging music, film, and visual production into original and impactful projects. He has directed and edited short-form content, music videos, and experimental work, gaining hands-on experience in scriptwriting, editing, and color grading.

Currently, Sandesh is working towards becoming a professional guitarist while simultaneously developing Rig Raag Studio into a recognized creative house that unites music and visuals to craft original, emotion-driven art.
